PURPOSEOversee the administration of the network and provide server and workstation support. Manage day to day computer operations and mandate highest levels of service for all staff members. Operate and monitor SEMA's computer systems and maintain SEMACARE helpdesk system. Establish and maintain security systems and procedures for both internal and external functions. Service Association staff computing needs and provide staff assistance and training.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY
Responsible for the configuration and installation of hardware and software applications. Oversee support for all server and desktop environments, including hardware, software, peripherals and training. Assist in the development of and provide direct control over SEMA’s security systems and procedures for all internal and external functions. Provide support to employees with technical issues or questions. Provide phone support to users for simple maintenance tasks and/or resolve the users’ issues/questions. Provide basic network troubleshooting Configure and support employee cell phones/smart phones. Install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain desktop/laptop computer images. Develop and maintain system standards and procedures for desktop and server environments. Ensure that adequate procedures manuals are developed for all functions within Computer Operations. Manage and support SEMA’s Microsoft Office 365 online system. Manage of disaster recovery procedures and updates. Maintain SEMA’s network infrastructure, including servers, hubs, switches, wiring, ISP’s, firewall and UPS. Manage and monitor system backups, maintain inventory of computer supplies. Manage and maintain hardware and software audit. Coordinate services and support with all association support vendors. Manage and setup IT related services at the associations tradeshows. Travel to the local remote facilities and events when necessary. Maintains and protects operations by keeping information confidential. When directed by management, perform other assignments and duties as required.
RELATIONSHIPSReports to the Senior Director, Information Technology. Interfaces with all levels of staff. Interfaces with Association members, outside computer vendors and contractors.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Detailed knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, Windows Desktop and Apple operating systems. Understanding of network infrastructure, servers, hubs, switches, wiring, ISP’s, firewall and UPS systems. Detailed knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 online system Ability to manage systems and develop procedures. Be a team contributor, with the ability to work autonomously and solve problems on the fly. Prefer Bachelor’s degree in IT Field or certifications in lieu of degree. 2 to 3 years of work related experience in a business environment Operational knowledge and understanding of system backup methods and recovery procedures. Possess good oral and written communication skills and ability to provide work direction to others.
