Provide production machining and assembly support for the manufacturing of Cylinder Heads and other products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, Organize, and Operate machining centers: Seat & Guide Machine, Valve Honing Stand, Valve Grinder, Head Decker, and Pressure Tester.
Assemble, flow test, and package heads for shipment to customers.
Maintain accurate records of work performed.
Manage supplies and equipment, including performing Preventive Maintenance on assigned machinery and tooling.
Assist manufacturing personnel in machining, turning, cleaning, inspecting, assembly, and any other duties required in a team environment.
Run CNC and other machines (i.e. load parts and run program.)
Interact with customers as needed.
Communicate and cooperate with the supervisor and all other members of the team to improve the operation in all areas including efficiency, productivity, and supply costs.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Graduate or equivalent. Automotive Machine Shop Training. Must understand cylinder heads, their assembly and function. 5 years automotive high performance component assembly and product installation. 2 years of experience in automotive machining is a plus. Must have 2 years of experience with measuring and gauging equipment.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Computer-knowledgeable in Windows Operating System.
Proficiently operate machines: seat & guide machines, valve grinding and honing, pressure testers, etc.
Well Organized with good housekeeping habits.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Possess strong math skills.
Technical knowledge of High Performance Engines.
