Coordinate sales and distribution of products for National Accounts, 3PL, B2B, B2C and online marketplaces by establishing sales quotas and goals to align with over all company objectives and growth strategy. Responsible for creating and promote on-going training programs for sales representatives. Analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and growth, inventory requirements, sales profitability and monitor the sales targets and goals to hold team members accountable.
Job Duties and Tasks for: "Sales Manager"
Oversee remote, regional and local sales teams.
Help execute a sales strategy that meets corporate objectives of sales and earnings growth.
Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
Execute comprehensive sales plans to include product mix, pricing, forecasts, budgets, profit projections and all program details.
Determine customer price schedules and discount rates.
Aggressively close new business each year in keeping with corporate capabilities and profit objectives.
Advise customers, sales team members, shipping department and accounting on sales policies and sales operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business.
Prepare budgets for CEO and approve budget expenditures.
Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.
Visit customers to stimulate interest in establishment or expansion and growth of business.
Work with clerical staff to keep records of credit collections, and to maintain current information on new business credit applications, credit references, business licenses, resale certificates and credit card forms.
Assess marketing potential of new and existing delivery routes, considering statistics and cost of sales expenditures.
A university degree and 4-6 years of experience, Bachelors degree or a graduate degree and 2-4 years of experience, Masters degree or a higher-level degree and 0-2 years of experience, Doctorate degree
