This position is responsible for presenting the value of SEMA Data products and services to both prospective and current members in a specific region or major geographical area. Prospects, recruits, manages, and maintains member relationships for SEMA Data. Educates members and prospects on importance of effective product data management.
Develop short- and long-term strategies, in line with sales goals to acquire new customers, upsell and/or cross-sell existing customers, and retain and renew existing customers.
Responsible for generating and closing opportunities to exceed revenue targets.
Understand the specialty automotive aftermarket industry and develop expert-level knowledge of SEMA Data products and services.
Analyze customers' needs and use consultative selling skills to solve complex business problems while driving the adoption of SEMA Data software and service solutions.
Use data analysis of sales performance, customer accounts, competitive intelligence, and market trends to develop, implement, and make needed adjustments to market penetration plans and account-based strategies to compete and win deals that increase net new revenues.
Structure processes and incentives that will increase sales of the company's products and services.
Attend and represent SEMA Data at industry trade shows and other events to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing members.
Participate effectively in processes required for sales, such as show planning sessions, marketing calendar development and sales meetings.
Collaborate with administration/operations, marketing, and SEMA Data teams to maintain each customer’s relationship and satisfaction level with SEMA Data programs.
When directed by management, perform other assignments and duties as required.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Minimum 5 years successful sales experience.
4-year college degree preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM programs.
Strong face-to-face communication skills are a must.
Excellent verbal and writing skills required.
Comfortable in fast-paced environment.
Solid work ethic.
Ambitious and goal oriented.
This position requires up to 50% travel. Frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight.
Software sales and automotive background a plus.
